Activist Andrey X Reportedly Arrested in the West Bank During Olive Harvest

Andrey X was reportedly violently arrested in the West Bank after an incident at an olive grove in the Palestinian town of Taybeh.

According to the account, 12 soldiers and police officers arrived at the olive field to stop a Palestinian farmer from harvesting olives from a single tree. Around 30 minutes later, a separate, secretive police unit reportedly arrived and violently detained Andrey.

The incident has raised further concerns over restrictions faced by Palestinians during the olive harvest season and the treatment of activists in the occupied West Bank.
