Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in Lagos have arrested two suspects in connection with the possession of suspected human tongues. The arrests took place on October 15, 2024, during a routine stop-and-search operation on Otedola Bridge.
According to a statement from the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects—30-year-old Isah Amohullahi and 32-year-old Abubakar Isah—were apprehended while traveling in a taxi. Following their arrest, further investigations led police to another suspect, Gbolahan Temidayo, who is alleged to have sold the human parts to Amohullahi and Isah. Temidayo was subsequently arrested in Oyingbo Market.
The police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing at the Command headquarters. Depending on the findings, the suspects may face arraignment if evidence supports the charges against them.
