Oslo, Norway – A tram derailed and crashed into a store in central Oslo on Tuesday, resulting in injuries to four individuals, according to police reports.
The incident occurred on Storgata, a main street in the Norwegian capital, where the blue tram plowed into Eplehuset, a retailer specializing in Apple products. Eyewitness accounts and images shared by Norwegian media show the front end of the tram embedded deep inside the store.
Police confirmed that the tram was carrying 20 passengers when it derailed and collided with the shop. Among the injured are the tram conductor and three passengers. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the derailment and assessing the extent of the injuries sustained.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, and the area has been cordoned off for safety.
