President Bola Tinubu Dismisses Five Ministers, Announces Cabinet Reshuffle

President Bola Tinubu has officially dismissed five ministers from his cabinet, a move announced during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday. The affected ministers include Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, Minister of Women Affairs; Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism; and Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development.

Additionally, Tahir Mamman was relieved of his duties as Minister of Education, while Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo was let go as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.

In a statement, the presidency expressed gratitude to the outgoing ministers for their service to the nation and wished them well in their future endeavors. The president emphasized the importance of the newly appointed and reassigned ministers, urging them to view their roles as a call to serve Nigeria. He highlighted the administration's commitment to steering the country towards irreversible growth and encouraged all appointees to contribute their best efforts toward achieving the government's priorities.

Furthermore, President Tinubu announced the reassignment of ten ministers to new portfolios and the nomination of seven new ministers, who will be submitted to the Senate for confirmation.
