Osun APC Suspends Former Governor Rauf Aregbesola Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended former Governor Rauf Aregbesola pending disciplinary proceedings concerning allegations of anti-party activities.

The suspension follows a resolution from the Iceland East Local Government Executive Committee of the APC, which called for disciplinary measures against Aregbesola.

The committee believes that taking swift action is essential to restore party discipline and deter similar behaviors among other members.

In a resolution submitted to the APC's National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Osun State APC Executive Committee outlined several allegations against Aregbesola.

These include claims of party factionalization through the formation of splinter groups and parallel organizations, collaboration with opposition parties aimed at destabilizing the APC in Osun, and public criticisms directed at party leaders, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
