Former NBA star Lamar Odom has opened up about his past experiences with street drugs following the release of Liam Payne's toxicology report, suggesting that the substances found in the late singer's system may have contributed to hallucinations.
In an encounter with reporters in Encino, California, Odom, a recovering addict and founder of Odom Recovery Group, was asked if he had ever used "pink cocaine," a dangerous combination of ketamine, methamphetamine, and ecstasy identified in Liam's toxicology report. Odom disclosed that he has used every drug found in Liam's system, including cocaine and crack, which he considers particularly perilous.
Odom emphasized the potential dangers of these substances, stating, "When I was using, I would hear voices in my head... and I think that could have happened to Liam here too." This perspective aligns with police theories regarding Liam's fatal fall from the balcony of his hotel suite in Buenos Aires, where he was reportedly using drugs actively.
Earlier this year, Liam had been vocal about his sobriety after battling addiction during his time with One Direction. However, authorities confirmed that he was actively using drugs at the time of his death, prompting Odom to remark that Liam was "really scoring."
