Indonesia Bans Sale and Use of iPhone 16 and Apple Watch 10 Over Investment Shortfall

Indonesia has enacted a ban on the sale and use of Apple's iPhone 16 and Apple Watch 10, citing the tech giant's failure to meet its promised investment commitments in the country. Apple had pledged to invest $109 million in local infrastructure but fell short by approximately $14 million.

As a result of this shortfall, Indonesia has opted not to renew Apple's required local content certification, rendering the sale and operation of these devices illegal within its borders.

The ban affects not only new sales but also impacts existing users and tourists, creating significant complications for those relying on these devices
