Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has hailed the 18-storey Ibom Towers, currently under construction in Victoria Island, as a significant milestone that represents both physical growth and inter-state collaboration between Lagos and Akwa Ibom States. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the multipurpose building, Sanwo-Olu emphasized its potential to enhance revenue for both states.
The project, spearheaded by Akwa Ibom State and located in the commercial hub of Lagos, is expected to be completed within the next 24 months. Governor Sanwo-Olu commended Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno for his foresight in choosing Lagos as a prime investment location. He stated, "This ambitious venture affirms our commitment to fostering projects that strengthen economic ties and create new opportunities."
Sanwo-Olu further noted that as Ibom Towers rises, it will symbolize the fruitful alliance between the two states, fostering a vibrant community and encouraging business and investment.
He described initiatives like Ibom Towers as essential to Nigeria's growth, driven by creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
Governor Eno echoed these sentiments, highlighting the investment in real estate as a strategy to bolster Akwa Ibom's economy and expand its revenue base.
