The Federal Executive Council has officially approved the establishment of the Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF) and the implementation of the Intellectual Property (IP) Monetisation Pilot. This decision was made during a meeting on Wednesday, chaired by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Presenting the memo to the Council, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, the Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, highlighted the collaborative efforts of various ministries—including Justice, Finance, Industry, Trade and Investment—as well as the Federal Inland Revenue Service and the Nigerian Copyright Commission.
These partnerships aim to ensure the successful establishment of the CEDF and the effective rollout of the IP Monetisation Pilot.
