Slh. Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger Council of Traditional Rulers, has urged Nigerians to pray for the recently inaugurated leaders in the nation to carry out their duties successfully in order to steer the nation into a course of sustainable development.
The royal father delivered the appeal at his Wadata Palace in the state's Bida Local Government Area.
“There is the need for Muslims and Christians to pray fervently for the successful tenure of all those that were inaugurated recently and for God Almighty to guide and guard them to deliver to the people the much needed dividends of democracy,â€the Etsu Nupe stated.
He counseled Muhammad Umaru Bago, the governor of Niger State, to prioritize the needs of the populace as well as the state's infrastructure and development.
Additionally, he urged him to make sure his cabinet was filled with qualified and experienced individuals in order to advance the development of Niger State.
Then, regardless of their loyalties, he urged the populace to support the new administration fully so that everyone might live in peace.
