Effective Tips for Preserving Bananas

1. *Storage Temperature:*
Keep bananas at around 12°C (54°F) in a cool, dark place to slow ripening. Avoid direct sunlight and warm areas like kitchens, as heat accelerates the ripening process.

2. *Avoid Ethylene Gas:*
Keep bananas away from other fruits that produce ethylene gas, such as apples and avocados. This helps prevent rapid ripening and extends the shelf life of your bananas.

3. *Refrigeration:*
Once ripe, store bananas in the fridge. While the skin may darken, the fruit inside remains good for consumption, allowing you to enjoy them longer.

4. *Freezing:*
For overripe bananas, peel and slice them before freezing. Frozen banana slices are perfect for adding to smoothies or using in baking, minimizing waste and maximizing flavor.
