Building Collapse in Abuja Leaves 40 Trapped Under Rubble

A building collapse in the Sabon Lugbe area of Abuja has left no fewer than 40 people trapped beneath the debris. The incident occurred on Saturday morning, with reports indicating that the structure was under construction at the time of the collapse.

Emergency workers and sympathizers rushed to the scene, working tirelessly to rescue those still caught under the rubble. Witnesses have called for immediate assistance from government agencies and emergency response teams, emphasizing the urgent need for additional support.

“No fewer than 40 persons are currently trapped in a building collapse that occurred in the Sabon Lugbe area of the Federal Capital Territory,” one eyewitness stated. “We are calling on the government and relevant agencies to come and rescue those who are trapped here.”

This tragic event follows a recent incident in Abuja’s Kubwa area, where a section of a two-storey residential building collapsed. In that case, four individuals were rescued, but an unconfirmed number of others were feared trapped
