YOUR HABITS - The Tiny Voice in Your Head

You know those hunger pangs you feel while watching TV late at night, those times you find yourself in the kitchen late at night looking for what to eat just because of cravings and not because you are actually hungry?

Don't worry, it's not just you. We all are guilty!

But before you munch on that midnight snack, here are a few things you must know

- Those midnight snack you so much enjoy can lead to unhealthy weight gain especially if they are fatty or sugary foods.

This is because your body can store up extra calories for hours and those extra calories can speed up your weight gain and give you unwanted belly fat; no one wants belly fat

- Your sleep pattern is disturbed as your stomach asks for more food at night.
Of course you should know what poor sleep pattern does to your body system.

- Eating late at night can increase your chances of developing gastric ulcers

-When you eat close to your bedtime, it results in acid reflux or Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)


- Just so you know, midnight snacks can be addicting and challenging to control at a later stage


So the next time you feel the urge to eat late, resist it please. Good health requires discipline
