Wolves guilty of Gross misconduct at the Amex.

It felt like a day of judgment for Wolves as Brighton hit 6 past them at the Amex stadium.

Resting key players Alexis Mac-Allister, Moises Caicedoand Kaoru Mitoma wasn’t enough for any consolation as the goals kept on coming for the hosts. Deniz Undavopened the scoring in the 6th minute before Pascal Gross scored and completed a brace in just 13 minutes to make it 3-0 in the 26th minute of the game. Danny Welbeck thenhad his own brace as he scored in the 39th minute and 3 minutes into the second half. It certainly was a day of ‘braces’ as Deniz Undav completed his own in the 66thminute.

This win was Brighton’s biggest Premier League win and was only the fifth time in the league’s history that a side had three or more players scoring 2+ goals in a match.

Roberto de Zerbi’s men are still hoping for a top 7 finish which would guarantee them European football next season as they now sit 8th on the log with 52-points, just two points behind 5th place Tottenham having played 2 games less than both the 5th and 6th placed teams.
