WE NO GET FUEL, WE WAN DEY GO FOR WAR - BURNA BOY ADDRESSES PRESIDENT TINUBU MILITARY PROPOSAL.

Grammy award-winning Nigerian sensation, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has shared his thoughts on President Bola Tinubu's proposed military intervention in Niger Republic following a coup in the Sabhelian nation. While the request for military action was met with resistance by the Senate, Burna Boy took to an Instagram live session hosted by his associate, Mannny, to express his perspective.

Burna Boy urged President Tinubu to shift his focus towards addressing the pressing issue of fuel scarcity within Nigeria, a crisis stemming from the abrupt removal of subsidies that led to pump price hikes. Speaking in his signature Pidgin English, Burna Boy humorously questioned the logic of plunging into a potential war while the nation grapples with such a significant domestic challenge.

In a light-hearted tone, he asked, “What's happening here? Are we going to war just like that [laughs]? We don't even have enough fuel, and you want to engage in a war. How do you expect to reach the battlefield? Are you going to use... What are they using the generator for? Gas generator. It's astonishing. Nigeria is constantly dealing with problems.”

Burna Boy's commentary reflects the sentiment of many Nigerians who are concerned about the prioritization of issues in their country. His casual yet impactful statement highlights the need for leadership to address immediate and critical challenges facing the nation, such as fuel scarcity and its cascading effects, before considering external military interventions.
