TINUBU’S QUEST FOR GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS “MISPLACED VENTURE,” SAYS EX-APC SPOKESPERSON

Timi Frank, a former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), responded to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria's remark during a speech in Germany by saying that Tinubu's attempt to have his reforms recognised in the Guinness Book of World Records is a misguided endeavour.
Tinubu, who emerged as president under the banner of the APC, had while addressing an audience at the 10th German-Nigerian Business Forum, in Germany, said: “Nigeria voted for me for reforms and from day one of my inauguration, I started the reforms. To me, if you didn’t mention me in the Guinness Book of Records, I’d strive to find a way to insert myself because I did it without expectation.”
However, Frank insisted in a press release that the only global record the Nigerian leader has so far achieved is causing the people to endure intolerable hardship and severe economic pain. He pointed to the removal of fuel subsidies as a prime example of Tinubu’s misguided policies. He claimed that because of this decision, fuel prices have skyrocketed, severely impairing the lives of average Nigerians.
