Tinubu and Betara Hold a Private Meeting

Rt. Hon. Muktar Betera Aliyu, a candidate for the 10th House of Representatives Speakership, met behind closed doors with President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ask for his support and endorsement.

The representative of Borno State's Biu/Bayo/Shani and Kwaya Kusar Federal Constituency has been soliciting support for his speakership aspirations from fellow party members, incoming House of Representatives members, former legislators, and other stakeholders.

In a video made available by his media office on Wednesday morning, Tinubu was seen guiding Betara into the inner meeting room while holding Betara's hand.

After the President-elect returned from vacation and the Muslim pilgrimage known as the lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia, Betera paid the President-elect a consultation visit at his new official residence at the Defence House in Abuja.

Along with Betara, other supporters of the incoming president can be seen in the video, including Sen. Ahmad Lawan, the outgoing president of the Senate, Kayode Fayemi, the former governor of Ekiti State, and others.
