THERE IS A DISBELIEF OF THE UNITY AMIDST FEMALE ARTIST IN THE MUSICAL INDUSTRY - GYAKIE.

Gyakie sat down with Adesope, the charismatic host of the Afrobeat podcast, to discuss the prevalent misconception surrounding the perception of males and females in the music industry. With a fiery passion, she dismantled the notion that exists of any inherent rivalry between the female genders in the industry.

“Whenever I meet my fellow female artists, it's always one love and no bad energy,” she declared, that they support and uplift each other because they understood the struggles they face as women in this male-dominated industry.

As the conversation flowed, she shared an intriguing anecdote. During the production of one of her songs, there was a co-artist present. To her surprise, he effortlessly picked up the song and sang it all, bringing his unique flavor to it. It was astonishing to witness such talent and camaraderie in action.

Gyakie emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration, rejecting the notion of a cutthroat environment where artists compete against one another. There's no time for rivalry or unnecessary drama, she asserted. They are there to create beautiful music and inspire others.

Her encounter with Adesope, fondly known as Shopsydoo, had been nothing short of amazing. Their conversation shed light on the true essence of the music industry—an inclusive space where talent and support reign supreme. She left behind an indelible impression, challenging preconceived notions and inspiring others to embrace unity and harmony in the pursuit of artistic excellence.
