Girona made it 4-1 in the 62ndminute as Taty scored his fourth of the night becoming the first player to score 4 goals in a single LaLiga Santander game against Real Madrid in the 21st century. Lucas Vazquez made it 4-2 in the 85th minute.
Real Madrid trail league leaders Barcelona by 11-points having played a game more than the Catalan club with 7 games left to the end of the season while Girona sit on 9thposition with 41 points.
