Silva-Pep cruise gives city a date with destiny.

Manchester City are heading to Istanbul as they are set to play Inter Milan in the final of the 2023 UEFA Champions league after their 4-0 demolition of defending champions Real Madrid. Manchester City progress to the final with an aggregate score of 5-1 after the semi-final tie.

In a night of total celebrations for the Cityzens, it all began when Bernardo Silva gave the home fans something to cheer even more as he opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. It didn’t take long for the Portuguese International to double the lead as he was just in the right place at the right time to pounce on a rebound in the box to make it 2-0 in the 37th minute. Pep Guardiola’s men didn’t give any room for error and were just perfect on the night as Manuel Akanji made it 3-0 in the 76th minute. It was already game over but substitute Julian Alvarez needed just two minutes after his introduction into the pitch to seal a resounding display for the hosts and confirm their place in the final.

Pep Guardiola’s men are still dreaming of the treble this season as they are in pole position to win the Premier League, would face Manchester United in the FA Cup final and have now booked their ticket to Istanbul to face Inter Milan in the final of the UEFA Champions League.

Could this be the year for Guardiola to finally win the World’s most prestigious club trophy, a trophy which he has failed to win since 2011. He came close to winning it in 2021 but lost to Chelsea in the final and would be making a second appearance in the UCL final for the second time in 3 years.
