Stakeholders in Rivers State's All Progressives Congress (APC) said President Bola Tinubu's choice of Nyesom Wike as minister will strengthen the APC in the state.
In a statement issued under the aegis of the amalgamated Tinubu/Shettima Support Groups, the stakeholders stated that based on the trajectory of Wike's previous positions of authority, they had no doubt in his ability to deliver creditably on his new responsibilities.
The statement signed by Chief Tony Okocha said, “With Wike as Minister the Renewed Hope family of APC, is rest assured of a new sense of belonging, and a rebirth of our great party in our dear state.â€
Okocha stated that Wike's candidacy is a true reflection of his hard work and unusual devotion to APC win during the presidential election that resulted in Tinubu's emergence as President.
The organization went on to laud Wike as a national hero and champion of ethics and justice, with a pedigree of excellence and hard work.
