Argentine legendary footballer Lionel Messi is definitely not tired of breaking records just yet as not only has he become the joint most decorated player in fototball’s history (43 trophies) but has also now scored the most number of goals by any player in Europe’s top five leagues.
Lionel Messi is now tied with Dani Alves as the joint most player with the most trophies in history after winning the French Ligue 1 title.
Messi has also moved a goal further to break the record for the most goals scored by a single player in all of Europe’s top 5 leagues. He scored his record-breaking 496th goal against Strasbourg and reached that number in just 577 games while breaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s 495 goals which he scored in 626 games while playing in Europe.
