Nollywood actor, Ray Emodi has tearfully explained his side of the story after being accused of pocketing N700,000 naira paid for him to act in a movie without doing the job.
He was called out by filmmaker Rossy Adaigwe tearfully in a video who alleged that after taking the money, he didn’t act in the movie and neither did he return the money.
Reacting, Ray complained that he was underpaid. He said he usually charges N10 million naira for his services but decided to accept the N700k for 40 scenes as a kind gesture after the filmmaker has begged him to collect the money.
However, he said he was later told by the director that the number of scenes has been increased to 60, which was different from the initial agreement of 40 scenes, leading to a misunderstanding between them.
He further said that he made this video immediately after he paid the lady the N700k and decided to let fans know so that they will stop calling him out.
In the video he was seen crying while explaining the whole scenario but the tears seems to be a mocking version of the video where the filmmaker Rossy was crying and calling him out.
