Veteran producer Don Jazzy recorded a podcast with Doyin, a former BBNaija housemate. Being her first guest on the podcast show she launched, they had a thorough discussion, during which he shared his opinions and experiences. 

She questioned “if celebrities are obligated to be role models”. He discussed endeavoring to be yourself while yet trying to set an example for other people. He has said that his altercation with his coworker Olamide at the 2015 Headies Awards was regrettable. 

Recalling that the 2015 Headies Awards ceremony saw some minor controversy as Reekado Banks, a signee of Don Jazzy, was declared the winner of the highly sought-after Next Rated category, which Olamide rejected, claiming Lil Kesh, a member of YBNL, deserved it more. He acknowledged that his behavior at the 2015 Headies Awards was unusual. 

The Headies incident, which was also unexpected, he noted. As soon as I exited the stage, I instantly regretted doing it. He said that he had already expressed regret to Olamide and the organizers.

He also talked about setting an example for others and doing things like smoking that are not expected of him. 

Furthermore, he recalled an encounter with a woman, how it made him feel when she forbade smoking in, and another time when a live camera was pointed at him, and he unconsciously raised it.  He has quit smoking already and finds it displeased to be near smokers because of their odor. Likewise, he emphasized that smoking does not help smokers and that it is a destructive habit. 

Don Jazzy spent some time on the show reflecting and providing relevant information so that everyone who views him as an example could learn about and comprehend him.
