OGUN STATE POLICE SAYS THEY WILL USE MINIMUM FORCE TO ARREST PORTABLE

Ogun State police command revealed on Tuesday 28th March plans to use minimum force to arrest popular controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable AKA Zaazu

On Tuesday portable in a viral video on social media was seen resisting the arrest by some police officers that stormed his restaurant in Ogun State, challenging them to know the reason for his arrest. Portable was seen in the video accusing the police officer of illegal arrest.

In the video portable was making some comments like;

“Show me your arrest warrant. Why did you come to my office to arrest people? You came and everyone was running. A yahoo buy sent police to arrest me just because I advised him to stop doing yahoo and go into music.

“Are the police and Yahoo boys now working together? I don’t do yahoo. I am a musician. If you want to invite me to your station, you will invite me with money” he said.

Confirming the incident, the state police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, explained that the singer had refused to honor the police invitation on five occasions.

According to the police they have also sent invitation to him through his father twice for questioning after a report was lodged against him. Then they went ahead to request a warrant from the court in regards to his refusal to honor the invitation.

 Immediately portable sighted the police, he stripped himself naked so as to cause a scene. He also says he works for Tinubu and they own Nigeria so the police cannot arrest him because he is a liability to the country.

Abimbola Oyeyemi futher said portable’s father has begged them and promised to bring him to the station on or before Friday. He says that they are expecting him and if he does not show up they will use minimum force to arrest him and said “portable is not bigger than the law”.

Although the police have not given details of the complaint that was filed against the singer for his arrest. 

But the police said that they have a video evidence of how portable ordered some guys to go beat up somebody, but the person that filed the report refused to show up again if not they would have charged the singer to court.

Oyeyemi further explains that the police have every right to use minimum force to arrest anybody that does not honor their invitation especially when they have a court warrant.

The Police Spokesman in Ogun State Abimbola Oyeyemi has finally confirmed that the command has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the singer to submit himself to the police by Friday or get arrested.
