NSHA Crisis: Ogah Dashed Ambition For Progress

On June 7th, 2023, we reported a scene of drama where two speakers emerged to pilot the Nasarawa State House Assembly.

Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi and Hon.  Ogah Ogazi were the two aspirants who emerged, an incident which has become chaotic since then with the Assembly complex shut down.

Owing to the break in the progress and development of the affairs of Nasarawa State,  the Ogah Ogazi's faction of the State House of Assembly has agreed to put back their sword for the progress and development of the State.

The leader of the team,  Hon. Ogah made this known on Friday in a press conference in Lafia alongside some members of his 13-man majority faction of the 7th Assembly.

In addition, he disclosed that he has set aside his Speakership ambition with an assurance to henceforth unite and work for the collective good and in the overall interest of Nasarawa State.

Nonetheless, he stated that the 7th Assembly would be re-inaugurated and a fresh election for principal officers conducted.
