‘No victor, no victory’ for Napoli as Ac Milan grab first leg advantage.

Ac Milan grabbed an all-important 1-0 first leg quarter-final advantage against Napoli at the San Siro thanks to Ismael Bennacer’s goal.

Algerian midfielder Ismael Bennacer scored in the 40th minute of the match and his goal, which was assisted by Rafael Leao, was enough to ensure the hosts travel for the second leg of the tie with the advantage.

Napoli showed yet again that the absence of Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen was the key behind their lack of victory in this fixture as they failed to find the net in 2 of the previous 3 games the striker has missed and lost the two games to the same opponent.

Napoli midfielder Andre Zambo Anguissa was shown a second yellow, just 4 minutes after his first in the, in the 74th minute of the game and would miss the second leg of this fixture on the 18th of April at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples.

The winner of this quarter-final fixture after both legs would faceeither Benfica or Inter Milan in the semi-finals of the competition.
