The Flying Eagles of Nigeria are making the country proud at the U-20 world cup as they defeated Italy 2-0 at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas in Mendoza.
Lawal Salem Fago gave Nigeria the lead in the 61st minute before Sunday Jude doubled the lead in the 95th minute to seal the victory for the famous green and white team.
This victory was Nigeria’s second in as many matches after their 2-1 victory against Dominican Republic U-20 team meaning they have made it to the next round of the tournament irrespective of th result they would get in their last group game against Brazil U-20 on the 27th of May at the Estadio Unico Diego Armando Maradona in La Plata.
Nigeria sit on top of Group D with 6 maximum points at this stage with Brazil and Italy sitting second and third with 3 points each.
