Newcastle set to play Champions League football next season.

Newcastle have officially secured their place in the UEFA Champions League for next season following their impressive league campaign this season.

Following the goalless draw with Leicester City at St. James Park, Newcastle confirmed their top-4 finish with a game left to play and celebrated their return to Europe’s most prestigious club competition for the first time since 2003.

Newcastle join league winner Manchester City and Arsenal who have already qualified to book their own spot in the tournament with Manchester United and Liverpool battling for the last qualification spot.

In what has been a tremendous story for the club in just 18-months, the fans not only have the new owners to thank but also have manager Eddie Howe to thank for all the work he’s done with the squad in such a short time with the club.

Eddie Howe took the club from a relegation battle to Champions League qualification within his 18-months at the club and has also been nominated for the manager of the season award.
