More worries for Chelsea as the Bees invade Stamford Bridge.

It’s now 5 losses in 5 games for interim coach Frank Lampard as Brentford defeats Chelsea 2-0 at the Bridge.

Cesar Azpilicueta opened the scoring but in the wrong net as he put the ball in the back of his own net in the 37thminute to give the away team the lead. Substitute Bryan Mbeumo then sealed the victory for ‘the Bees’ in the 78thminute.

Brentford definitely are loving a trip to Stamford Bridge as this is their second consecutive victory at that ground in the league since their promotion in 2021 after they recorded a 4-1 victory last season.

Returning Legend turned manager, Frank Lampard’ssecond spell as Coach at Chelsea seems to be all shades of bad as this loss is his 5th consecutive loss since his re-appointment as interim boss. His Chelsea side have scored only 1 goal and conceded 9 in those five games under his reign.

Chelsea sit on 11th position in the league with 39 points after 32 games played, just 10 points above 18th place Leicester City, with their search for a new long term manager intensifying. Chelsea face Arsenal next at the Emirates.
