Mikel Arteta has been named the Barclays Manager of the Month for March 2023 after guiding his Arsenal side to a perfect month winning all four games.
The Spaniard wins his fourth of the season after helping Arsenal extend their lead at the top of the season to eight points ahead of second placed Manchester City. After winning it in August, November/December and January, this win now takes him just 1 away from matching Jurgen Klopp’s record of five in a single season which he set in the 2019/20 season.
This makes it a well-deserved clean sweep for Arsenal in March after Bukayo Saka was named the winner of the EA SPORTS Player of the month. Arsenal scored an incredible 14 goals in four matches including an extra-ordinary 3-2 comeback win against Bournemouth.
Mikel Arteta beat competition from Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery and Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola to claim the award.
