MIGOS: QUAVO CAUSES STIR ONLINE AS HE ALLEGEDLY DISSES OFFSET IN RECENT POST

Fans think Quavo is dissing cousin and former group member Offset in a new social media post.

The Migos were undoubtedly one of music’s royal trios and in a time where group acts were slowly fading into nothingness in hip-hop, the set of three relatives, - formerly comprising of Quavious Keyate Marshall Quavo, Kiari Kendrell Cephus Offset and Kirshnik Khari Ball Takeoff, managed to not just hold their stead, but deliver hits across charts back to back and garner several awards.

Sadly, like almost every music group in history, they began to fall out over issues and even before the death of the trio’s Offset last year, -dated 1st November 2022, cracks had began to appear again in their close-knit relationship as rumuors of their disbandment had began to spread again.

Reports have it that since Takeoff’s death in 2022, Quavo and Offset haven’t been seeing ‘eye-to-eye’ as the two had already fallen out before the rapper’s death. The later however proceeded to honour Offset by debuting a back tattoo of the late rapper on Instagram dated Saturday 15th, 2023.

In a recent turn of events, Quavo (On Thursday 20th) took to Instagram with a carousel of random photos – but the caption was what had people talking.

“Rocket Power It’s In You. Not On You!” he wrote in his recent caption, referencing TakeOff’s Rocket Man nickname. However, fans have since speculated it could be a dig at the fact that Offset just got a huge tattoo of the late Migos rapper on his back – which would signify being “on” him.

Fans took to the comments section to share their mixed feelings amd reactions:

“I hope this isn’t a subliminal message,”

“Set loves Take so it’s in him AND on him. You said you would ask yourself, ‘What would Take do?’ Do you think he would be out here beefing with Set?”

“Disappointing and unnecessary caption unc,” another added

Quavo’s own mother Edna commented, trying to insinuate that the quote wasn’t aimed at anyone, rather it was something that TakeOff loved to say:

“One of my grandson takeoff favorite quotes it!!” she wrote. “has to be in u not on U….We give God Praise for giving IT!! To Quavo and Takeoff LL TAKEOFF the rocket man.”

Last month, Uncle and cousin, Quavo and Offset were spotted sitting far apart at an Atlanta Hawks game further fueling the heat of their speculated beef.

This sighting would occur less than two weeks after Quavo publicly declared on his new song “Greatness” about the Migos never coming back together. Throughout the song, the rapper gives a shout-out to his mother, sister and deceased nephew Takeoff but never mentions Offset directly.

“Greatness” serves as Quavo’s second musical offering since TakeOff’s death following the somber “Without You,” which he released in January.
