MANCHESTER UNITED POTENTIAL SALE: RATCLIFFE, QATARIS SET TO GO HEAD-TO-HEAD.

Ahead of the Wednesday’s deadline for Manchester United’s potential sale, the Glazer family are expecting more bids from potential suitors. Sheikh Jassim, Sir Jim Ratcliffe are among some of the high profile bidders who are expected to return with new improved offers for the British club believed to be valued at around sixmillion pounds.

British Billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe has already made it clear he would not pay a ‘stupid price’ for the club but holds a strong interest in purchasing the club which he visited last Friday and held meetings at Old Trafford which reportedly lasted for hours on the same day of the visit with his team.

70 year old Ratcliffe, who already owns French club OGC Nice, called the British club a “Community asset”and assured that his interest in the club would be ‘purely in winning things’.

Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani is another very interested personality in the potential British club race after his Qatari delegation reportedly held positive talks with Executives from Manchester United. His advisers are expected to come in with a new bid soon after their recent visit last week saw them hold a ten-hour long meeting with Executives from Manchester.

It is widely believed that the British club owners are expecting as many as eight bids with around five of them being second offers after the first round bids were widely off their valuation. They are clearly no favorites for the club with a rich history but the Glazers are definitely willing to sell the club at the right price and desire to keep control of the club by agreeing a minority deal in any negotiations with potential suitors. If their asking price is not met however, the Glazers will raise capital to invest in the club and pay down the debt.
