Lionel Messi takes Inter Miami to League's Cup final.

Inter Miami have progressed to their first ever final as they defeated Philadelphia Union 4-1 in the League's Cup semi-final at the Subura Park in Chester.

Inter Miami were 3-0 up before the break as goals from Josef Martinez, Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba were enough to see them go into the half-time break with a commanding lead. Alejandro Bedoya pulled one back for the hosts in the 73rd minute with the hope of a late push for a comeback but his goal was nothing more of a consolation as 19 year old David Ruiz settled The scoreline shortly after in the 84th minute to seal the victory for Inter Miami.

Lionel Messi's 36yards strike was his 9th goal for his new club in just 6 games as his team remains unbeaten since he made his debut. Messi has also been named the Man of The Match in 5 of the 6 matches he's played with Inter Miami.

Inter Miami would face Nashville SC at Geodis Park on Saturday in the League's Cup final and have already secured their qualification to next year's Concacaf  Champions Cup as a result of their appearance in the League Cup final. It is worth noting that Inter Miami are still currently the bottom placed team in the MLS and barely won a match before Lionel Messi's arrival but are now a team who barely loses a match.
