LEGENDARY ROCK 'N' ROLL TINA TURNER HAS PASSED AWAY.

Tina Turner, the legendary rock 'n' roll singer, has passed away at the age of 83. With a long illness, Turner, who was a pioneering star in the rock 'n' roll genre, transitioned into a pop sensation during the 1980s. The Guardian reports that she had been facing health issues recently, including a diagnosis of intestinal cancer in 2016 and a kidney transplant in 2017.

Turner's impact on the music industry cannot be overstated. She not only affirmed, but also amplified the pivotal role of Black women in rock 'n' roll. Her influence on that era of music was so significant that Mick Jagger himself admitted to drawing inspiration from her energetic, high-kicking live performances for his stage persona.

After enduring two decades of abuse from her husband, Ike Turner, she broke away and embarked on a solo career. Although she faced some initial setbacks, Turner eventually emerged as one of the defining pop icons of the 1980s with her album Private Dancer.

Throughout her life, Turner's story has been chronicled in three memoirs, a biopic, a jukebox musical, and the critically acclaimed documentary film, Tina, released in 2021. These works have further immortalized her legacy and celebrated her contributions to the world of music.

Tina Turner's passing marks the end of an era, but her impact and influence will continue to resonate with fans and musicians alike for generations to come
