Legendary football manager Arsené Wenger and his statue at the Emirates.

 

Arsené Wenger is a global name in the world of football not just for his managerial career at Arsenal but for his major contributions in the footballing world in general.

 

A statue just outside the Emirates stadium has been erected for the former Arsenal manager who was the longest serving manager in the club's history as he managed the club from 1996 to 2018. He's also the most successful manager in the club's history and is famously known for guiding the club to an unbeaten League title success, an achievement no other club in Europe's top flight leagues can boast of till date.  

 

Wenger, nicknamed 'Le Professeur', is currently serving as FIFA's Chief of Global Football Development and is forever remembered for his contributions to English football through changes to scouting, players' training and deit regimens which revitalized Arsenal and aided the globalisation of the sport in the 21st century.
