Kwara Govt Reduces Workdays to Three For Civil Servants

Following the Federal Government's elimination of the gasoline subsidy, the Kwara State Government has approved a temporary palliative solution for employees.

In the state capital of Ilorin yesterday, the Head of Service, Susan Modupe Oluwole, made this announcement, stating that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq had ordered that the workweek for all cadres of employees in the e-civil service be cut from five to three days.

Oluwole gave a directive to all state Ministry, Department, and Agency (MDA) heads to create a structure right away that details the alternate work days for each employee they are responsible for.

The Head of Service stressed that regular monitoring of MDAs by her office will be increased to guarantee strict compliance, but she also cautioned employees not to take advantage of the governor's good nature.
