Kwankwaso Opts Out Of Tinubu’s National Unity Mantra

A Few days ago,  the chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Comrade Sunday Oginni accused Kwankwaso of allegedly masterminding crisis in NNPP across the country in a move to hijack the party from the original owner and founding members.

The party demanded an open explanation of what they described as an “unhealthy relationship between Kwankwaso and the All Progressives Congress during and after the general elections.”

In response to this stance to clear the allegation of "anti-party activities, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has backed out of Bola Tinubu's Government of National Unity.

Kwanjwaso talked about many reasons for his decision, including the involvement of personalities with corruption allegations hanging on their necks, as well as the government’s “anti-people policies.”

The NNPP has also resolved to provide the needed opposition to the All Progressives Congress (APC)

A source within the party disclosed that the NNPP has “carefully reviewed the situation on ground with regards to our relationship with the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government and we have decided not to be part of it.”

“We have continued to see people with allegations of corruption and corrupt practices trailing them being made to play an important role in government,” the source said. “This runs contrary to the ethos and philosophy of our party which is made up of decent and responsible members of the public who are public-spirited and development oriented.”
