Kevin’s brace sends City into Haa-land.

Manchester City have now put themselves in the driving seat ahead of retaining their PL title after a 4-1 victory over league leaders Arsenal.

Who else to inspire the Cityzens other than the man who loves a match against Arsenal more than any other city player, Kevin de Bruyne’s outstanding record against the North London club was yet again on display at the Etihad stadium as his 7th minute strike opened the scoring before John Stones made it 2-0 just before half time. Kevin then went on to complete his brace as he scored again in the 54th minute. Arsenal pulled one back through Rob Holding in the 86th minute before the goal-scoring machine Erling Haaland finished off the scoring with his record breaking 33rd goal of the league campaign in the last minute of the game.

Erling Haaland’s strike has seen him break the record for the most goals scored by any player in a single 38-match Premier League season. He looks to extend the record even further owing to the fact that he has 7 more games left to play before the season ends.

Arsenal are still top of the league but with Manchester city having played 2 games less and just 2 points behind the Gunners, it now looks like a matter of when and not if Arsenal surrenders the League to Pep Guardiola’s men.
