Fans of Israel Adesanya could not hold back their excitement and happiness as they welcomed back their hero with ‘the Haka dance’ in Auckland, New Zealand on his return following his UFC Middleweight title win. Fans in their large number trooped in to welcome the talented mixed martial artist as they performed the ‘Haka’ which is a traditional ceremonial Maori dance usually performed in a group during ceremonies and celebrations to honor guests and show the importance or relevance of the occasion being celebrated.
Israel Adesanya, the Nigerian born New Zealand mixed martial artist knocked out Brazilian Alex Pereira to reclaim the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight belt title. That victory was Israel’s first ever win over Pereira who previously defeated Israel and took the belt off him in November 2022.
