Inter secure advantage ahead of UCL quarter-final second leg.

It is Inter Milan who have all the advantage heading into the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final after their 2-0 victory against Benfica at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon.

After a goalless first half, Nicolo Barella opened the scoring shortly after the break in the 51st minute while Romelu Lukaku converted his penalty kick in the 82nd minute to bury the tie and seal victory for the visitors.

Inter Milan would host Benfica at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) in Milan on the 19th of April for the second leg of the tie in their quest to book a place in the semi-final of the competition.

The winner of the tie after both legs would progress to face the winner of the AC Milan and Napoli tie for a match-up in what now looks to be an all Italian semi-final fixture with Inter’s advantage.
