I REGRET ABORTING SARKODIE'S BABY - YVONNE NELSON.

Renowned Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, recently unveiled a revelation in her latest book, “I am not Yvonne Nelson,” which was launched at Peduase Lodge in Ghana on Sunday. In the book's eighth chapter, spanning pages 88 to 95, she discloses a deeply personal experience from 2010, wherein she terminated a pregnancy resulting from a brief relationship with rapper Sarkodie.

Recounting the incident, Yvonne vividly recalls the apprehension she felt when she went for a pregnancy test in the company of her friend Karen. Overwhelmed by emotions, she lacked the strength to open the test result herself. Karen, upon discovering the outcome, exclaimed, “Charlie, eh dey there!”—a revelation that would forever change Yvonne's life.

Although their connection was not a serious one, Yvonne acknowledges her attraction to individuals within the music industry, which led to her involvement with Sarkodie. Troubled by the news, she mustered the courage to inform him of their shared responsibility for the situation. Sarkodie, whose real name is Michael Owusu Addo, is a prominent Ghanaian musician.

In her book, Yvonne candidly recounts her attempts to terminate the pregnancy using concoctions recommended by a colleague. However, these efforts proved ineffective, as subsequent tests confirmed her continued pregnancy. Eventually, she succeeded in terminating the pregnancy, a decision that she now deeply regrets. Yvonne laments this as one of the most unfortunate mistakes of her life and expresses a desire to turn back the hands of time to embrace motherhood.

Yvonne Nelson's revelation is a poignant insight into her personal journey, shedding light on the complexities of relationships, choices, and the weight of regret.
