HOW BEING NERVOUS NEARLY RUINED MY MOMENT AT KING CHARLES CORONATION PERFORMANCE- TIWA SAVAGE.

Nigerian music star, Tiwa Savage, recently shared her experience of performing at King Charles III's historic coronation and how nerves nearly ruined the moment. During an appearance on the Good Morning Britain TV show, Tiwa spoke about the initial anxiety she felt while performing at Windsor Castle.

Reflecting on the event, Tiwa described it as a beautiful experience to perform for the King and represent the Commonwealth on such a grand stage. However, she admitted to being nervous in the first few seconds. Determined to overcome her anxiety, Tiwa decided to immerse herself in the crowd's energy as soon as she started singing. She understood the importance of letting herself be swept away by the moment.

Tiwa also took the opportunity to praise Camilla, the British Queen Consort, describing her as “very lovely.” In addition to discussing her personal experience, Tiwa highlighted the significance of Afrobeats in the global music scene. She credited Afrobeat as the genesis of popular black music, emphasizing that genres like Hip-hop, RnB, and Soul all stem from Africa. Tiwa expressed her satisfaction in witnessing Afrobeat gain the attention and limelight it deserves.

Tiwa Savage's performance at King Charles III's coronation concert, where she delivered a wonderful rendition of 'Keys to the kingdom,' marked a significant milestone. As the first Nigerian artist to perform at a British royal event, Tiwa delighted guests and contributed to the celebration of the coronation. Her presence and talent further cemented the growing recognition of African music on the global stage.
