Manchester city’s Erling Haaland has been named the Premier League player of the season after a combined voting involving the general public, the captains of all 20 Premier Leeague clubs and a panel of football experts.
The goal-machine certainly had an incredible first season scoring 36 goals in 35 games while breaking numerous records. The Norwegian was also Football Writer’s Association (PFA) Footballer of the year.
This now means that Manchester City players have won this particular award for the fourth consecutive season with Kevin de Bruyne winning it twice in that period (in 2020 and 2022) and Ruben Dias winning it in 2021.
