NBA star, Giannis Antetokounmpo has finally visited Nigeria for the first time ever with his mom, who is of Nigerian descent.
Antetokounmpo took to his social media to make his visit to Lagos, Nigeria known as he shared a picture with his mom with the caption: “Finally made it to Nigeria with Mama.†Both of Antetokounmpo’s parents were born in Nigeria before they immigrated to Greece and started a family.
While in Nigeria, he visited the Rowe Park Sports Centre in Lagos where he met with basketball players during the final of the Youth Alive Basketball Championship camp. He played with members of the U-12 all-star teams and chatted with teams and was praised for his leadership and mentorship by those in attendance.
