Foreign lawyers in Nigeria to Stop Tinubu’s Inauguration – Festus Keyamo Says

Festus Keyamo, the state minister for labor and employment, has claimed that the opposition parties have legal plans to thwart Bola Ahmed Tinubu's inauguration before May 29.

The leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) further claimed that some lawyers had been flown into the nation to carry out the task in a tweet on his official account.

However, the Minister blamed the action and the responses it sparked on illiteracy, claiming that some cunning individuals were taking advantage of those he called "nattering nitwits."

He wrote, “I read somewhere that some supposedly learned fellow is assuring the nattering nitwits that the inauguration of @officialABAT can be legally stopped before May 29th and yet another story that some foreign lawyers have been flown in to achieve that purpose. And I read many excited reactions from these nitwits

"Then I shook my head and murmured under my breath, ‘illiteracy is truly a disease and it is sad that some unscrupulous characters are taking advantage of these poor fellows”.

The hearing of the petitions filed by the opposition parties seeking to annul Tinubu's victory was set to begin on Monday by the President Election Tribunal.

The transition is currently being planned in full swing as President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to hand over power to Bola Tinubu on May 29.
