Espanyol were certainly not happy with the fact that city rivals Barcelona won a match against them as it was a derby game but their fans were certainly even more disappointed by the fact that the Barcelona players were celebrating winning the league in their own stadium while their own team struggle for survival at the opposite end of the league table.
The fans went on to express their disappointments by disrupting Barcelona celebrations by invading the pitch to chase the players after the match which ended 4-2 in favor of the Blaugrana team which automatically confirmed them league winners.
Barcelona players were quick to notice the invading opposition fans and ran off the pitch to safety before the security officials could control the situation.
It is already widely reported that Espanyol could face severe punishments for this events in the coming days.
