Steve Harwell, the iconic frontman of 90s rock band Smash Mouth, passed away peacefully and comfortably, surrounded by his loved ones. His manager, Robert Hayes, conveyed this sad news to Mail Online, highlighting Harwell's serene departure from this world. At the time of his passing, Annette Jones, his fiancée, was diligently caring for him. 

 

Steve Harwell's career was marked by both fame and controversy. In 2021, he faced allegations of a drunken performance that ultimately led to his retirement. Despite the challenges, tributes have been pouring in, recognizing his unmistakable voice that defined a generation. Hayes spoke of Harwell's genuine love for his fans and his passion for performing. While the official cause of his death remains unconfirmed, Harwell's manager revealed that he was in the final stages of liver failure when he was moved to hospice care. This tragic ending comes just after the announcement that Harwell had entered hospice due to years of battling alcohol abuse.
