Early ‘Salah celebrations’ for Liverpool as they hit six against leaky Leeds.

Liverpool secured all 3 points at the Elland road with a resounding 6-1 thrashing of struggling Leeds United.

Coady Gakpo opened the scoring in the 35th minute after slotting home from an Alexander-Arnold pass. It took just four minutes after that for Liverpool to double their lead through Mohamed Salah in the 39th minute. Luis Sinisterra gave the home fans believe and hope of a comeback just immediately after the half-time break in the 47thminute but those hopes were sent to bed early as Liverpool couldn’t stop finding the back of the net with almost every attempt, DiogoJota in the 52nd minute, Mohamed Salah in the 64th minute, DiogoJota again in the 73rd minute and substitute Darwin Nunez grabbing the final goal of the game in the 90th minute.

This was Liverpool’s first taste of victory since their famous 7-0 thrashing of Manchester United in March and only their second away win in 2023.
