Early Easter present for Arsenal as Jesus brace secures victory.

Arsenal cruised past Leeds at the Emirates with a 4-1 score line to restore their eight-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

The North London club responded to City’s 4-1 win over Liverpool with the same score line as goals from Gabriel Jesus (twice), Ben White and Granit Xhaka ensured victory for the gunners. Jesus gave Arsenal the lead as he converted from the penalty spot in the 35th minute after he was brought down by Luke Ayling inside the penalty area. Shortly after the break, in the 47th minute, Ben White scored to extend the lead for the home side before Gabriel Jesus grabbed his second in the 55th minute to further extend the lead.  Rasmus Kristensen pulled one back for Leeds in the 76th minute in what was nothing more than just a consolation goal as his shot deflected off Zinchenko into Arsenal’s net. It was Granit Xhaka’s goal six minutes from the end of the game that was the final bullet from the Arsenal to secure a resounding victory.

The League leaders have now won seven consecutive games, their longest winning run under Mikel Arteta and are well on course to focus on winning their first PL title since 2004 with the hope of ending their 19-year wait for the title with just 9 games to go till the end of the league season.
